Hi, I'm Matt.

Here's my life story, more or less.

 

I'm originally from Cincinnati, but I lived in South Carolina for almost five years. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of South Carolina. Then I became a remote freelancer and started working for Homes.com, publishing over 200 neighborhood profiles in a year. Now I live in the beautiful river city of Richmond, Virginia.

 

In my free time, I rock climb at a local gym, attempt to write okay novels, and drink as much coffee as humanly possible.

 

I also like to take trips in the summer and see a bit of the world I write so much about. One trip was a three-week stay in Colorado, where I climbed twelve 14,000 foot peaks. Another was a coast to coast to coast road trip (SC -> CA -> SC). Most recently, I backpacked South America for three months, traversing nine countries and eating a lot of good meals along the way.

Whatever I'm doing, I'm always thinking about writing. I couldn't imagine it any other way.
